A customer came to us with two bathrooms in their home. The bathrooms were side by side and both needed a complete overhaul. One bathroom had a very slow emptying shower tray, and the other had a very unusual shape.
We had three visits with the customer deciding how best to solve the issues. As it was a period property, the walls were lath and plaster, so most of the internal walls needed new plaster board and skimming to make the walls flat for new tiles. The customer’s husband also told us he liked very long showers, and that they would often run out of water.
Our solution was to supply a separate unvented hot water cylinder fitted in the loft. This tank supplied just the shower room with constant hot water, which made sure that there was enough hot water for the rest of the house. Both bathrooms were fully tiled both walls and floor, and completely decorated to a high standard. Furthermore, the leaded windows were refurbished, and transformed.
This was a complex and difficult job, which used all our trade skills, and we still managed to keep one bathroom running during the course of the project.
